Location:
St. Maarten is located in the Caribbean’s. But the interesting part is that St. Maarten has 2 sides, the French side and the Dutch side. The French side of the island is mostly beaches. The Dutch side is mostly sight seeing, relaxing, and outdoor shopping malls. But I like going to both sides because they both have lots to see and do. Did you know it takes about 1 hour to get to the French side to the Dutch side?
Climate:
In St. Maarten the climate is hot, not 100 degrees hot, but around 30-40 degrees. Some days it is colder and rains, but most of the time it is perfect weather. Did you know that in St. Maarten the rain stays for about 1 minute and then it is finished?
Beaches:
In St. Maarten the beaches are the most beautiful sight to see. The waves are perfect sized, the water is not too hot and not too cold, you can see the cruises in the distance, and you can have a nice cold drink and relax… I bet you want to go now! If you don’t think so here is what tops it off.
Activities:
In St. Maarten you can go banana boating, tubing, sometimes even surfing, canoeing, there are even bouncy castles in the water, you can go fishing, or just take a boat around the Island. My favourite is going banana boating, because it is a challenge to stay on, because the people taking you go so fast you might not even be able to stay on the banana for 10 seconds. Another activity I love to do is… Riding on the Dolphins! They are so cute and friendly, now that was an experience of a lifetime!
The Food:
Now in St. Maarten there are amazing things to do, but the food tops it off! You can go from Italian, to Mexican, to all around the world food, but my favourite is the Italian. If you ever go to St. Maarten go to this one restaurant called Cougini’s. Our family friends own it and it has the best Italian food ever!
Well one day I hope you can visit the beautiful island of St. Maarten. See you later.
