Our Morning Prayer
God Our Father,
Each new day, your grace gives us a fresh new start to walk in your light again. You bless us with many things: our family, our friends, our work, our play. Help us to recognize your blessings, And to not take them for granted. Give us the strength to live by the example of Your Son Jesus, Today and everyday. We pray for our friends, our family, and all those who need our prayers today, Especially those for whom we now pray. (pause for personal intentions) Almighty God, We ask that you continue to bless us as we offer ourselves to you today. Whatever we think, Whatever we do, Whatever we say. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen. **This prayer was written by the students in Miss Tamasi's Grade 6/7 class 2007** |
End-of-Day Prayer
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the blessings you have given me today. Thank you for my friends, my work, and all the graces you have sent me. I am truly sorry if I have not used them better and if I have sinned against you. I will sincerely try to do better tomorrow. Amen Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, World without end, Amen. **The top portion of this prayer was written by the students in Miss Tamasi's Grade 6/7 class 2007** |
School Prayer
Jesus, you are our strength and light.
You guide us by your example of peace, forgiveness and love. You call us to be your children in a caring school community. We thank you God, for this day we share together. We thank you for the gift of Jean Vanier - for showing us that no matter what our differences or whatever our abilities, we are all your children, Lord. We bring to you today all our hopes and dreams, our worries and our fears and all the intentions in our hearts. May we always celebrate our differences and accept each other as Jesus would accept us. We are called to change one heart at a time. We lift this prayer to you, O Lord. Amen. |
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried, he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. |
