As you all know, Christmas is coming up in the next couple of months, and we are all so excited to get presents. But sometimes we just have to think of those who only get one or two presents, or none at all. It is so important that we try to help those who are less fortunate than we are. Does your family do anything at Christmas time to help families in need? |
In every mall, and in many churches, there is a big Christmas tree called "The Angel Tree." On the Angel Tree, there are tags that say a child's age, gender, and an interest or hobby. When you pick this tag, you use it to help shop for the the perfect gift for this child in need. If you give a gift to the Angle Tree, you may surprise yourself. Not only did you make someone else's Christmas better, but you will feel so good for what you have done.
My Participation with the Angel Tree
Every year my family and I give two gifts to the Angel tree. A couple of years ago, instead of doing Secret Santa for my sister's hockey team, we asked if they could do the Angel tree. In the end, with one simple gesture, we were able to make 17 kids feel better at Christmas.
Your Thoughts
If you were less fortunate than you are now, and you got a gift from the Angel tree, how would you feel? If you could donate anything, no matter how big to the Angel tree, what would it be?
