How games work?
There are 6 players on the ice from each team and the rest are on the bench. There are 3 forwards: a center, right wing and left wing. Also there are 2 defencemen and a goalie. There are 3 referees on the ice. The referees are there to make calls and give penalties. In the NHL there are 3 twenty-minute periods and every time there is a call or penalty the clock stops.
