Thanksgiving is a time to share with family and friends. Most people have thanksgiving traditions, like at my house we always have a big dinner with all our family and we go around the table and everyone has to say 3 things we are thankful for. Thanks giving is closely connected to Europe. Long before the Europeans settled in North America they would have festivals of thanks and celebrations of harvest in the month of October. |
During World War 1 in October 1918 Canadian solders attended a thanksgiving serves in a bombed out cathedral in France.
1. Do you have any family traditions? If so what?
