On Thursday, we spent the morning at Miss Tamasi's parents' farm. The purpose of our trip was to see how natural resources can be used day-to-day, and how solar panels work. This was all a part of our Science unit about the conservation of energy. But there was also plenty of time to play, enjoy the surroundings, and eat some delicious homemade food. |

Each day this week, on our morning announcements, we are listening to scripture readings and prayers centred on this theme of mercy.
Read More by clicking the title of this post or the "Read More" link We have started to have weekly liturgies in our classroom. Every Friday, a group of students leads the class through prayer, song, and reflection about a particular theme. So far, we have had liturgies about: treating others with kindness, praying for the homeless, friendship and love, and forgiveness of sins.
One of the things that has gotten the most feedback about our prayer services, is the music! Each group has done a great job of choosing songs that reflect the theme of their liturgy. We really love exploring our faith through music! Click the title of this post to see some of the videos that have been used so far in our liturgies.

We are continuing to learn how to make inferences. We make inferences when we use explicit clues, and our own background knowledge to figure out what's really going on. In other words, we can figure out what the implied (or hidden) messages are.
What inferences can you make from the photo here? Write your ideas in your reader's notebook, then share your thoughts in the comments. Remember to write a quality comment. |
