This book was totally not fair. We learned that in some parts of the village, (the world) men get more schooling than woman, and that woman have set jobs like getting water. Some people don’t even have clean water so they have to travel for a day to find clean safe water. In some houses people have everything like water, sanitation, food, and clean air. Others have just enough stuff that they can survive and not all those people even have a house!
The part that REALLY makes me mad is the fact that if everyone shared what they have, like all their food, money, and resources, then everyone in the whole world would have enough to meet their basic needs. And no one would be homeless. Everyone would have enough food so they won’t be hungry and they would all get clean good water which would make every one healthier and live longer. But we learned that the world's resources are NOT shared equally!
Knowing how the people around the world are, what is something that you could do to change some of these problems? What other stuff is just not fair? Do you think these things are fair?
